Bhabi Thulla is an exciting 4-player card game where your main goal is to avoid being the last player left holding cards. The player who fails to get rid of all their cards is crowned the "Bhabi", and trust us, it's not a title you want!
The goal in Bhabi Thulla is to discard all your cards as quickly as possible. Once you're out, you're safe. But if you're the last player holding cards, you become the Bhabi, and that comes with a penalty.
Bhabi Thulla is played with 4 players and a standard 52-card deck (no jokers).
Cards are dealt evenly, although one player may get 1 extra card, which is perfectly normal.
The player who holds the Ace of Spades starts the game by placing it in the center. Play then continues in a clockwise direction.
Each round, players must follow the lead suit, the suit of the first card played in that round. If you have a card in that suit, you must play it.
If you don't have a card from the lead suit, you can play any other card. This is called giving a Thulla.
When a Thulla is played, the round ends immediately.
The player who played the highest card in the lead suit is forced to pick up all the cards from that round.
Escaping is not just about playing your last card; it's about timing it right.
When you play your last card, you only escape if you're not the next player to lead.
If you win a round and have no cards left, you must draw a card from the other user's cards.
When three players successfully escape, the last remaining player automatically becomes the Bhabi. This is the player who couldn't get rid of their cards in time, and in Bhabi Thulla, that's a title no one wants.
Don't hoard high cards, they can force you into winning tricks when you don't want to.
Use Thullas strategically to mess with your opponents.
Time your escape so you're not holding the power (i.e., not the next leader).
Keep track of which suits have been played and who's likely to pick up cards.
